Create A Stylish Surfing Fashion Label Tag

This tutorial will teach you how to create a stylish and eye-catchy Surfing Fashion Label Tag. As I live in a country where surfing is quite popular, I can confidently assure you that surfing fashion is different from other fashion brands, you will never mix a surfing fashion store with any other, both by color and style, so let’s get started..

Step 1.

Pick a photo with a surfer. We picked a surfer girl (original photo by Chris Aschenbrener), and since our photo did not have a very strong contrast, we modified the levels a little bit.

Step 2.

Now we want to add sun rays that “shine” from the main character or figure. So create a new layer, and using the  custom shape tool, select the shape called “Registration target 2″ (comes default in Photoshop), draw a circle as shown on the image below. Read the rest of this entry »

 Sunday Morning: PSwish.com Goes Eco-Style!

I have not updated this blog for a while mainly because I was busy offline but these days the only thing that has occupied me was re-designing PSwish.com After a dark, very dramatic design, we decided to follow the trend and switch to eco style.  While this design is still in beta and we are working on cleaning the bugs and struggling to make it bearably visible to the IE users, I thought I would start with giving some credits.

Design + Coding: LoreleiWebDesign.com (us, that is and you may consider hiring us!)

Took me about 2 days to complete the psd and then approximately 1 day to convert the psd to wordpress. I hope you like the new layout and please feel free to report any bugs you find, it was 3 a.m. when I finished this theme so I am pretty sure I could miss something!

As many of you might have heard, on the official Photoshop Express page we could find some new updates, which were originally announced back in March, as far as I can remember. So, what’s new? First of all, the uploader powered by Adobe Air, that allows users to drag and drop photos from their desktop directly into the browser’s application. Moreover, now you can print directly from online photo management tool “Shutterfly” without having to save the photos unto your computer first. Not to mention the 1-click resizing tool, which has been offered now with email and mobile presets. Bottom line: it’s worth checking!
